About Me
I graduated From Boise State University in 2020. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Games, Interactive, Mobile, Media Technology (G.I.M.M.). This degree covers three major areas. The first major area that is covered is game design: with this aspect, I have gained skills in 3D modeling using Autodesk Maya, Game design starting from the idea of a game to the implementation of the game design document to a demo or MVP (Most Viable Product) of the product Utilizing Unity3D for the assembly. The second area covered is web development: I gained skills using Html5, CSS, and Bootstrap for the basics of coding. Also, I learned how to use AWS, firebase, and Ionic to handle the backend for web security of sites and for other features. I built sites using Dreamweaver, WordPress, and google sites. The third major area covered is mobile app development: I gained skills using Xamarin and Swift for scripting and utilizing Adobe XD for the design of the application so that it gives me a basic layout for the entire app to be followed in assembly. Other skills gained were 2d/3d animation using Adobe animate, digital art by using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, and Sound and video editing skills using Adobe Premiere Pro and Media Encoder. This degree is exclusive to Boise State. I grew up in Spokane, WA, and Coeur d'Alene, Id area of the Pacific Northwest.
Unity and VR Development
My projects have all been built in Unity 3D. With the G.I.M.M. program, the majority of our projects are exclusively built-in unity. When it comes to VR, I utilized the Oculus rift headsets which are what we had to work on within the lab. For the first VR project I worked on, I was on a team of four where we created a VR cups game with networking and directional sound. We did run out of time on the project to implement the beer goggles but the rest of the game is functional. On this project I mostly did research and testing then implemented the sound. For the second group project, on a team of three, I helped create a game where we tranquilized penguins to save them from an alien arctic monster utilizing AI for control of the penguins and the monster. On this project I modeled, textured, and rigged the penguins and the arctic monster. On my senior capstone project, I worked on a team of eight for a VR experience for the DMV to help people pass the written exam for their driver's license. On this project, I worked as a 3D artist by modeling several different objects including a bus and cop car. For my senior individual project, I have developed an underwater exploration/adventure game that is in VR. This was a difficult project to work on individually since I was still learning the aspects of VR and game functions.
3D artist
For 3D artist experience. All of my assets that were made for the projects that I worked on are done in Autodesk Maya and textures are done in Substance Painter. I developed two models for the game using AI. Those are the penguin and the artic monster on my art page. All the objects for the underwater VR game, several objects for the DMV project, and the spaceship for a CGI project can all be seen either on my video or art page for the projects.
